Founder

Born in Korea, raised in Europe, and reborn through adversity—Susan Smallwood is the definition of reinvention. A survivor of childhood abuse, addiction, and incarceration, she turned pain into power and emerged with a mission to live—and lead—grander. Susan founded Grandiosity Events, curating luxury experiences that celebrate culture, resilience, and Black excellence. Her boldest move? Launching La Grande Caviar, making her the first Black woman in history to own a premium caviar brand. With style, soul, and an unapologetic story, Susan brings the Soul & Lifestyle pillar of Coterie Grand to life—reminding us that no matter how imperfect your past, your future can still be luxurious.

Sade Hawkins is the visionary force behind Coterie Grand’s brand identity and cultural footprint. As a multidisciplinary creative and founder of OMEN Worldwide, Sade has built a reputation for transforming raw stories into powerful brands that resonate. With a background in entertainment, tech, and visual production, she bridges intuition and execution—shaping Coterie Grand’s aesthetic, voice, and experiential flow from the ground up. From digital design to storytelling strategy, she curates spaces where community, healing, and luxury intersect. As Creative Director and Brand Architect, Sade ensures that every touchpoint of Coterie Grand feels intentional, elevated, and inclusive—because true branding isn’t just about how it looks, but how it lives.

Brooklyn-born and purpose-driven, Dawn “Dee” Sykes is a former model turned healthcare entrepreneur with a heart for the overlooked. From running group homes to building behavioral health programs, Dee has always fought for the underdog. With a master’s in Healthcare Administration and features in People Magazine for her beauty and philanthropy, she proves that strength and softness can coexist. Her journey—marked by struggle, reinvention, and grace—inspired the foundation of Coterie Grand, a community where imperfection is embraced and everyone has a seat at the table.

Founder

With 35+ years of experience and a deep belief in faith, family, and service, James Oxley brings military precision and heart to every endeavor. A decorated Army Veteran and seasoned real estate agent, he’s licensed across DC, MD, and VA and specializes in commercial and government contracts. With a background in International Business and Theology, James leads the Mind & Finance pillar of Coterie Grand, dedicated to helping others build wealth, integrity, and generational change through real estate and personal development.
